Last night I was doing a meditation, and the topic was allowing all minds. Sometimes our mind is calm, sometimes it is agitated. Sometimes it is angry, sometimes it is joyful. Sometimes it is sad, frustrated, and bewildered. Sometimes it is happy, productive, and precise.
All these aspects are part of your mind. They all have a place, they all belong. But often we try to chase certain mindsets, and in the chase we heavily resist the mindsets we don’t think we should allow.
But what if you did allow all mindsets? What if, despite any mind state you were feeling, you let it be ok?
The trouble with resisting a mindset is that you’re arguing with the reality of yourself. Humans seem to be hellbent on doing this, because it is hard for us to accept that as we are, we are enough.
But if you can shift your mind, and live by the philosophy that you are enough, then all minds will be welcome as they are.
